coela what?

its called a coelacant The most striking feature of this "living fossil" is its paired lobe fins that extend away from its body like legs and move in an alternating pattern, like a trotting horse. Other unique characteristics include a hinged joint in the skull which allows the fish to widen its mouth for large prey; an oil-filled tube, called a notochord, which serves as a backbone; thick scales common only to extinct fish, and an electrosensory rostral organ in its snout likely used to detect prey. Coelacanths are elusive, deep-sea creatures, living in depths up to 2,300 feet (700 meters) below the surface. They can be huge, reaching 6.5 feet (2 meters) or more and weighing 198 pounds (90 kilograms). Scientists estimate they can live up to 60 years or more.

Caution pictures may be disturbing to some viewers

I apologize to everyone for the disturbing picture above but I can’t help it if that is what a Viperfish looks like. Doesn’t this fish look like something straight out of a horror movie. the Viperfish is also known as the Fangfish because of its well fangs. The viperfish is usually a dark silvery blue colour and only about 30 cm (12 inches) long. Don’t let the small size of this fish fool you though as it was designed to be a predator. In fact, the fangfish is one of the most fierce predators of the deep sea. So what do I mean when I say it was designed to be a predator? Well, I mean evolution built this fish to eat other fish. For starters, we will look at their teeth. The viperfish has a large mouth with very large and very sharp teeth. In fact, their teeth are so big that they don’t actually fit in their mouth. These fangs curve back and extend close to their eye. The viperfish will use these teeth by swimming at full speed towards their prey and simply impaling them with their fangs. cool right! (not for the fish)

Camera tripod? No a fish tripod!

Standing on long, bony rays that extend from the fish's tail and fins the Tripod Fish always faces upstream while standing on the ocean floor's oozy bottom. Standing upstream allows small crustaceans, shrimp, and other little creatures to swim straight into the waiting fish's mouth. Even though the creature's body is only 14 inches long, the fin rays can reach over 3 ft in length!

when a vampire bites a squid what do you get?

- well it didn't happen that way but - you get a vampire squid it is a very beautiful but to some it may look scary. i learn -in everyday life - that you should respect everyone and everything so i try well everyday. this is an animal that doesn't get very much attention from the public. when i say "animal" you might think of a dog or cat or fish but i try and think out of the box. this creatures name means "vampire squid from hell" some stories say that it bites it pray then eat it thus getting its name. its only 30cm(1 ft) and that's small for a squid of its name. it looks more like a jellyfish than an octopus or a squid.

Megalodon! fact or fiction?

i always loved sharks and i am particularly interested in this one. It's not only the world biggest prehistoric shark but it was the biggest predatory marine creature in history. There teeth were 7 inches long! imagine those! the closest living relative to Megalodon is is the great white shark. so megalodons are or should i say WERE real.
